Greetings, Internet! — Thank you for stopping by.

Since beginning to program during undergrad, I’ve always wanted to create a blog. I mean, come on, all the cool programmers of our age have one. Creating your own blog seemed like a must to ascend into the ranks of being this generation’s next great programmer. Unfortunately, I never really got around to creating a blog. Well, that’s not entirely accurate. I’ve dabbled here and there, but things just never really stayed consistent. Either I didn’t like how the blog looked and scrapped it, or I simply did not keep up with writing regularly and decommissioned the websites. Luckily, it is 2026 and I have Codex now to vibecode my entire website and blog management system. Throughout the past two years, I’ve also developed a love for writing. I thought, with the combination of these two serendipitous events in my life, it must be a calling to give blogging another shot.

Truth is, I really don’t have much of a plan with this blog. I didn’t want to commit to any themes or topics, nor did I want to commit to writing grandiose essays about my philosophies in life (I might still do it once in a while). This blog really is just going to be my personal commonplace log, with the exception that I work on polished writing, as it is a goal of mine to write better. I’m open to any suggestions or requests!

Creating this site with my Codex agent running whilst I watch YouTube and text my girlfriend has honestly been a really great pastime this past weekend. I don’t do much programming outside of work, but working on this cute website sparked a bit of that innocent building bug I had when I created my first web page years ago. I definitely have a lot more things I want to build out and write about, so stay tuned for that!

I have plans to write about stories and experiences related to my lifelong hobbies. I’ve been speedcubing since 2015 and competed up until 2019. I still cube and keep up with the speedcubing community; however, I am much slower than I once was. I am also very passionate about fitness. I lost 30 lbs this year, and honestly, I have many thoughts I really want to share, as it was probably one of the most profound and rewarding experiences of my adult life. I’ve also rekindled my love for endurance running, so I will definitely talk a lot about my running journey, training plans, and maybe even shoe reviews. Last but not least, my first real passion is cardistry. I’ve been practicing sleight of hand and cardistry for 15+ years now. Cardistry gave me my childhood, friends, community, and really shaped who I am today.

I’m not really sure who is reading this, but I sincerely thank you for stopping by and checking out my little corner of the web. Writing this post has already sparked lots of excitement in me, and I’ve already got ideas rattling in my head that are waiting to be put down in text. See you all real soon!
